"BUSHISMS" piece

I did this painting in one day...it took about 10 hours to do the masking and the words. The words are a collection of stupid things that Bush has said in the past, aka "Bushisms." Here's a complete list of everything that is written on it, in the correct order. (and yes, i know that i had one quote on there twice...whoops!)

• Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?
• Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream.
• I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family.
• I hear there's rumors on the Internets that we're going to have a draft.
• I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.
• You work three jobs? … Uniquely American, isn't it? I mean, that is fantastic that you're doing that.
• Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country.
• They misunderestimated me.
• Rarely is the questioned asked: Is our children learning?
• Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.
• There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.
• The decisions we make in Washington have a direct impact on the people in our country, obviously.
• All I can tell you is when the governor calls, I answer his phone.
• My job is a decision-making job, and as a result, I make a lot of decisions
• We're kicking ass.
• I'm going to try to see if I can remember as much to make it sound like I'm smart on the subject
• And my concern, David, is several.
• I will not withdraw, even if Laura and Barney are the only ones supporting me.
• It’s a heck of a place to bring your family.
• Those who enter the country illegally violate the law.
• Wow! Brazil is big.
• It's totally wiped out. ... It's devastating, it's got to be doubly devastating on the ground.
• I can only speak to myself.
• It's in our country's interests to find those who would do harm to us and get them out of harm's way.
• I appreciate my love for Laura.
• I understand there's a suspicion that we--we're too security-conscience.
• I think we are welcomed. But it was not a peaceful welcome.
• We got the best workforce in America—in the world.
• Listen, I want to thank leaders of the—in the faith—faith-based and community-based community for being here.

Master Peesh

Here's a painting that I did for Digital Arts and Design. we're learning about colors; tint, tone, shade, etc. my instructor told me that if i added a background, it would be a "strong piece". haha...i think its funny when people refer to paintings as "pieces". it just sounds so fine-artsy to me.

oh, and the yellow-ish parts are actually gold paint...and it shines in the light! id say its wicked sweet if you ask me!
